The honey
From the foot of the Belasitsa mountains, this chestnut honey reveals a bold, bitter complexity and a deep mahogany hue. It is particularly high in antioxidants and minerals, often registering conductivity > 1.0 mS/cm, and offers aromatic depth with smoky, woody, and leathery tones. Compared to other European varieties, which can be smoother and more herbaceous, the Bulgarian version from Petrich is more assertive and astringent, reflecting the warmer microclimate and unique flora surrounding the sweet chestnut groves.
Health benefit: Chestnut honey is especially rich in phenolic compounds, flavonoids, and potassium. Traditionally consumed to stimulate circulation and support liver function, it also promotes digestive resilience due to its gentle bitterness.

The beekeeping

We are the Mitrevi family. We are mainly engaged in beekeeping. For us, it is more of an art than a business. We started with a few hives as a hobby, but the bees captivated us with the grace of nature. They took over all our time, thoughts, soul and heart. We raise healthy bee colonies without treating them with any prohibited veterinary-medical preparations. Near our apiaries there is rich vegetation, including a large massif of chestnut forest in the Belasitsa mountain. The products we produce are completely natural and pure, every year we analyze our products.
Bee farm “MITREVI” was established in 2013. and has over 200 bee colonies.
The main activity of the farm is the extraction of natural and pure bee products – honey, wax, bee pollen, royal jelly, propolis.
The priorities in our farm's strategy are: technological innovations, introduction of new products, the ambition to offer the best quality and to maintain the trust already created.
Bee Farm "MITREVI" continues to invest in training its staff, in order to continuously improve their level of qualification.
Good beekeeping practices are practiced on the farm. Only new glass packaging is used, all equipment and machines for honey extraction and packaging are made of stainless steel, purchased from a licensed manufacturer with the best quality.
We hope that the diverse products with high quality, fast delivery, better services and competitive prices will make the farm not only a leader in the Bulgarian market, but a loyal and desirable partner for joint work outside the country.
