F1, Wildflower honey, Nahl Pure Honey
The honey
This polyfloral honey includes nectar from coconut, mangrove, and many other species of tropical trees.
The honey color is usually a medium amber with a reddish tint. It is slow to crystalize. The taste is mild. Nahl Pure Honey won first place in Fiji's national “Best Fiji Honey” competition in 2014. The beekeeping
Fiji is the home of Nahl Pure Honey, where bees forage for nectar in island mountain forests and coastal regions.
Ziyaad Hussain manages Nahl Pure Honey in Rakiraki, Fiji. Ziyaad began beekeeping 15 years ago when his grandmother gave him 12 hives. He now manages 120 honey-producing hives. Our bees in Fiji are a hybrid of the black bee of northwestern Europe (Mellifera mellifera) and the Italian bee (Mellifera ligustica). The bees are kept in 2 and 3 box Langstroth hives. There is no large-scale agriculture or population centers in the remote areas where the bees forage. Honey produced by Ziyaad Hussein: [email protected] +679 937-0633 Nahl Pure Honey
