Fi4, Kurjenrahka Wilderness Honey
The honey
This honey comes from an apiary on the edge of Kurjenrahka National Park in South-West Finland, a landscape shaped by peat mire and open pine forests. The hives here produce only a limited amount of this rare honey. Light amber in color, it carries a delicate lingonberry note and the fresh, distinctive taste of mire flowers. Its aroma has been described as refreshing, with fruity sweetness, forest berries, and a subtle hint of aniseed.
Honey type: wild flowers growing in mire biotope. Traditional uses of the honey: This honey is delicious on top of a dessert or ice cream or on a piece of hard cheese. The beekeeping
Luonnon Kulta is a small artisanal beekeeping company in South-West Finland. The name means Nature’s Gold, and I work to ensure that every jar is worthy of it. I produce smoothly creamed wildflower honey, a selection of specialty honeys, and comb honey. All my honey is harvested from freshly built comb to preserve its purest flavor. In addition, I also offer beekeeping as a service.
